✧ To reach the other end

The project is an emotive answer to my question at this stage of my life: how can everyone reach themselves and other people properly so that they understand each other?

I photographed people at the two opposite river banks in Rhinebeck and Kingston to answer this question through photography. These are the two physical ends. There are also people and their imaginary ends. My photography subjects and I also consist of two ends.

People (Body)- People (Mind)

Me- Other People

I think a lot about the ethics of photography. For the project, I’ve decided not to look for anything particular in anyone, which made the process spontaneous and almost arduous. I believe there are no simple pathways in or out of any relationship, and I like fluidities over fixities. I hope to relay the dignity and humanity that I saw in each person the moment I tried to reach.
