The project “Common Theatre” starts with the idea of presenting the city as an theatre, actively scripting the public life through its spatial memory, and it later develops to the psychological experience of living in the city, in this case Shanghai. The project aims to attest that the city’s evolving past does not exist as static relics, but as dynamic forces that continuously shape the ongoing present.
